Micarta is a composite material made of layered paper, textile or other fiber material together with a hardening resin or epoxy, often under pressure. The result is a very durable and rigid material that is often used in the production of knife handles and a number of other applications where strength, wear resistance, formability and design are desirable. Micarta is available in many varieties of colours, materials and patterns.
