Brass is the yellowish variety, copper-nickel is the brighter variety.
The plates are available in 2 variants, one meant for the front of the shaft and one for the back (around a small hole). On the front plates, the blade comes out of the shaft through the hole, and through the end piece the end of the knife blade's tang comes out, then is riveted for a solid mechanical locking.
NOTE: If you are going to have both front (holster) and rear (end piece) then you must order both parts. They are not supplied in sets.
