The Good Old
With the 1075, it's hard to go wrong. It hardens easily, is cheap, is tough and is often used in damask and laminated sheets. With its relatively simple construction, the 1075 also has the advantage of easy maintenance of the egg. 1075 does the job without hesitation and is a good working steel that is also suitable for beginners in the knifemaking profession.
Note: Some of the variants have a note that they are slightly curved, that is, they have been slightly curved after being cut from a larger plate. This is completely normal, but we try to deliver as flat items as possible, so we therefore mark the variants that have an arch. It can, for example, be 3mm curved over a length of half a metre.
